My ABSOLUTE favourite Italian restaurant in London. This gorgeous place can be found on 215 PICCADILLY and goes by the name San Carlo Cicchetti (or just Cicchetti for short). Cicchetti in Italian means small snacks or side dishes which is very popular in Venice.
I must say I am an absolute sucker for Italian food and having been to Italy many times, I'm starting to think I'm pretty good at telling what is good and what is not. When my friend told me about this place in London, I was eager to try it and was immediately blown away. Not only is the food quality insatiable but the whole interior design of the restaurant is so romantically beautiful.
I prefer to go there for lunch as it kind of adds a hint of luxury to one's shopping day. It also has beautiful cocktails and lovely Italian staff (oh I do love the italians..!! And who can resist a mid-day cocktail?)
Although Cicchetti is a bit on the pricey side (around 25 pounds per person for a lunch including a drink) it is pretty decent for London and for the stunning quality of taste.
